A stolen vehicle backed into a police car while fleeing from law enforcement early Wednesday morning in Peoria, according to police. Around 2:51 a.m. Wednesday morning, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the 4700 block of Knoxville Avenue. The reported stolen vehicle was being followed by another stolen vehicle, police said. When officers tried to stop one of the vehicles at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Lake Avenue, the driver backed the vehicle into a squad car and fled the scene.
